Sold for A$400

Good (6.6). The thin lip has two chipped areas, one is about 12 x 2 mm, the other is about 10 x 1.5 mm. A bit hazy throughout. Tiny nick or two to heel. A few short deep scratches. Little fisheyes and impact marks. Some scratches and small scuff marks. Quite a rare bottle, this one was found in Tasmania. 'Lynch & Co' of Aldersgate Street, London were the registered patentees in 1872, this seems to have Lewis & Towers monogram in the base, so must have been passed over soon after. This example with the thin lip is earlier than a couple of recent examples sold at AA Auctions which had a more standard 1880s style lip on them. EST: $100 - 150
