FF / Patent. Potters stamp: Stephen Green / Glass Lined Inside / Lambeth. (United Kingdom). Household. Jar. Patent lip with grooves. Salt glaze. Impressed. 1 Pound. 113 mm. 1850s
Very Good. (7.6). 8 x 6 mm flake to edge of lip groove on the right hand side. 8 x 5 mm kiln kiss type mark to right shoulder. 5 x 5 mm flake to left rear heel edge. 15 x 6 mm chip under the base is a making mark, a kiln kiss or potters pull or similar. Couple of bands of surface rust which will soak off. Some crude making marks. A lovely example of this early jar, I've never seen these with an FF in front of Patent, they do come with plenty of other initials as well. It is not known what these initials signify..
