Large bulbous black glass bottle with jagged pontil.. Black Glass. . Applied top. Onion shape. Black. 1/2 Gallon. 270 mm. Early 1800s
Very Good. (7.6). Some inner dirt and contents residue type staining, this should soak out. 6 x 3 mm flake to upper lip. Scratches to the inner lower neck, likely from a bottle brush. Some scratches and the odd scuffed mark. A few tiny impact nicks around the base edge. Some usage wear under the heel. Nice pontil under the base with jagged parts to it. A great piece of early glass, looks to be from the 1800-1850 period, but likely the earlier part of that period.. Estimate: $300-400
