No embossing. Goldfields type salad oil bottle. Usually referred to as a "Sharks tooth" or "tiered bell" salad oil. Goldfields Salad Oil 7 oz. Green-aqua glass salad oil. 10 sharks tooth type marks around the bulbous base up to a single ring. Next section has a rounded side and four flat panels then a double ring. Above the double ring are eight flat panels then a single ring followed by a tapered round neck to the applied lip. 218mm. 1850s-1860s
Near Mint. Not an overly rare salad oil but this is definitely a premium example. Can find a handful of light scratches to the surface when looking closely. There are a couple of spots of dirt still on the inside that should clean out. Beautiful whittling to the glass, stunning goldfields era bottle. Grade: 9 Estimate: $75 - 100
