Cobalt, square Grimble's Vinegar. No base mark. Household Vinegar Applied top, flared lip, ring around tapered neck and down bottle, which turns into a square shape with rounded edges. Each flat panel has a cross hatch pattern, except for a flat panel which would have been for a label. Cobalt. 26 oz. 325 mm without stopper. 1880s
Near Mint. Tiny making split to surface on upper lip. Couple of annealing marks to applied lip, one 5 mm one below the ring which does not go through the thickness of the glass. A bit of fine streaky dirt inside which should clean out. Small impact mark on seventh ring down from the top. Inclusion in glass at front base area with 3 x 4 mm partial bruise, this is very hard to see and is a remnant of manufacture. Tiny nibble under base. The blank panel has some fine, rounded scratches to the upper half, there is a possiblity that this may have been acid dipped? The stopper appears to not be the original, the insert has been chipped away to make it fit, it is a bit loose fitting. Grade: 9 Estimate: $750 - 1000
