Very Good. Polished. Quite a deal of pitting and small surface marks remain over the bottle. A large air bubble to the lower left of the front embossing has a fracture around its outer edge. Embossing is quite good. Very rare patent bottle. Edward Hogben came to Australia to establish a business for himself and Henry Barrett. He only spent a short time in Melbourne before relocating to Sydney and starting the firm Barrett & Co. He patented the same bottle in NSW under the name "Hogben & Barrett's" patent.
