Excellent. Make no mistake this is rough with some dirt, scuffs and various marks, but this item is so crude that it is impossible to tell how much is from after manufacture. This demijohn is known as "The Beast" by the current owner and it is extremely heavy and crude. The inner lip at the top of the thread has some flakes, there is some splitting to the inner thread as well. With the top in place, none of this is visible. The chocolate glaze gives it a "Chinese" pottery appearance, but the immensely heavy nature of this piece would indicate that it is not of Chinese manufacture. A great piece of what we presume is Australian pottery. Grade: 8 Estimate: $80 - 120
