Large Carafe(?) or Decanter (?). Large round pontil to base. Goldfields Carafe Flowers & Leaves decoration around base. Columns with Greek or Roman like galleries embossed. Tiled roof effect to shoulder and lower neck. Twisted neck to flared out tool finished top. Quite a bright green aqua. Half Gallon? 322 mm. 1850s?
Excellent. Great looking item. Minor nibble to outer lip. There are a few light scuffs and marks outside. Lots of crudity to the manufacture which adds to the look. Some under base usage wear. Excellent colour. We are not sure of the age of this one, with the pontil, it appears to be an early piece. Grade: 8.7 Estimate: $500 - 600
