Barrel shape with Registration Diamond (Registration is for 1st February 1866 registered by W. B. Tate, London). Ink Glass Barrel shape, flattened to one side. Shear or Burst lip. Aqua. 1 oz. 44 mm. 1866+
Good. There is a chip on the lip and a few little nibbles typical of this type of lip. Dull throughout. One edge of the pen rest has a 14 x 5 mm shallow nibbled chip. There are fine annealing fractures through the surface of the glass in places. Possible 10 mm fracture to lower neck, this may be a making fold in the glass on the inner neck showing through? Nice little ink bottle. Grade: 6.25 Estimate: $30 - 50
