Patent / 17086. Pottery bulbous item with flat base and a series of holes in the top. Pottery Patent Chocolate glaze flat base item with hole in one end. Domed upper body has a circle of 12 holes in it. 210 mm. 1900s
Near Mint. Glaze miss to lip from making. Tiny nick to glaze on lip. Some light glaze scratches. One short scratch through the glaze near one of the holes. It has been suggested that this may have been a deodoriser of sorts, a product being placed inside and slowly diffusing through the small holes over time to leave a pleasant fragrance behind.
