Cobalt Liquid Bread Bottle. Base Mark: A.B.G.Co / 20. Household Liquid Bread Applied top. Cobalt. 13 oz. 240 mm. 1890s
Very Good. Made by the Adolphus Busch Glass Co. (A.B.G.Co.) - this particular mark appears to have been used for only 1892 and 1893. David Nicholson’s Liquid Bread was produced between ca. 1890 and 1915. Anheuser-Busch bottled the product in these distinctive cobalt blue bottles. Liquid Bread was a pure malt extract. 10 x 6mm burst bubble to upper body, small surface bubble around from this. Scrape to base edge, some usage wear under the base. Some grime to the surface. A few scuffs and scratches to be found. Couple of fisheyes to the upper lip. A few tiny nicks and impact marks to be found. A great looking bottle. Grade: 7.6 Estimate: $40 - 60
