Howell Bros. / Trade / A1 / Mark / Manufacturers Parkes. Potters Mark: R. Fowler / Sydney. (New South Wales) Ginger Beer Cork Stoppered Champagne shape. Tan Top. Black Print. 10 oz. 216 mm. 1900s
Very Good. Tiny lip marks, mostly look to be from making. Tiny glaze nick to front lip looks to have a very fine glaze hairline through it, looks like crazing. From rear lip down to half way down the white body is a glaze hairline that is dirty, another below this is curved, looking like a smily face, making this quite a happy bottle! Some discoloured crazed glaze hairlines to upper rear body as well. A bit of rust stain to the rear body. More fine hairlines down length of left side of bottle. Minor under base flake is likely a potters pull from making. With a good soaking clean removing the stain within the glaze hairlines, this will look very nice indeed. We have not sold one of these before. They come with a standard top and then this blob top version. Rare enough bottle. Grade: 7.2 Estimate: $300 - 400
