1. Excellent. From the mid 1940s to the early 1950s Beryl Armstrong produced a wide range of wheel-thrown pottery from a studio in Melbourne. A few little nicks to the glaze to the inner rim scattered around. Couple of glaze flakes to outer rim and some glaze wear to the sharp lip edge as well. Small flake type mark under base looks like a making mark. Lovely blue colourations throughout. Nice piece from Beryl Armstrong, who was from the Melbourne School of Marguerite Mahood. 2. Very Good. Small patch of upper lip wear with a tiny glaze nick associated. 10 x 6 mm flake to outer lip rim. Some very light wear in places to the wide part of the body. Couple of tiny glaze nicks. Some fine surface scratches. Fine crazing throughout from making. Grade: N/A Estimate: $40 - 60
