Pair of Stoneware Jars: 1. (Lid marked) The Weir / Pat: Mar 1st 1892. 2. I C Hoffman. Pottery Jars 1. Tall ceramic preserving jar with wire bail and clamp with lid. 2. Salt Glaze squat impressed. 204 mm with clamp in place & 135 mm. 1900 & 1850s
1. Very Good. Bail and clamp move easily but rubber ring has perished and stuck on the lid and rim of jar and we have not removed it. Needs a bit of heat and careful attention. No signs of any damage though. Some crazing and discolouration. 2. Excellent. A little nibble on the lip and some minor marks. Nice early looking Hoffman jar without product name.
