Eight Beer Glasses - Five Sandblasted or Etched and three plain ones. Etched glasses are: 1. Ferguson'. Base Mark: RD 16836. 2. Hotel / Federal. No base mark. 3. Property of / Hotel / Belair. (South Australia) 4. Sheehan's / Hotel. Base Mark: (Reversed to read from inside the glass) Steelite / Made in Belgium. 5. W. M. Darley Ltd / (Design) / Thorne. Beer Glass Sand blasted beer glasses. Clear. Three small plain glasses as well. 81 - 136 mm. 1900s+
1. Excellent. I cannot pinpoint where this one is from. Dullness throughout. Nibbles to the seam around the pedestal base. Some scratches and minor marks. (8.0) 2. Good. Flake to outer right lip. Small one to outer left lip. Flakes and chips around the base edge. Some scratches and minor marks. Too many Federal Hotels out there to know where this one is from, although we suspect this is from Melbourne. (6.5). 3. Excellent. This hotel was in South Australia. Deep scratched spot of wear to upper rear. Some short scratches down the rear. Some scratches and minor marks. (8.0). 4. Excellent. Too many Sheehan's Hotels in Victoria where this was sourced to pinpoint which town it is from. Minor flake to front upper lip. Some scratches and minor marks. Interesting Belgium made piece. (8.0). 5. Near Mint. W M Darley Ltd, King Street, Thorne, South Yorkshire were founded by 1837. This glass a few spots of grime and some minor scratches. (9.4). 6. Excellent. There is a small impact flake on the body near the handle. A few scratches and minor marks. 7. Near Mint. Just a few scratches and minor marks. 8. Mint. Just a bit of grime. This one is not very old.
