Two piece ink. Heavy bottom part with pontil scar to base. Funnel type part with ground lower opening. Ink Glass Two piece ink. Round base with tool finished top. Funnel with ground lower end. Cobalt Blue. About 3 oz. 78 mm. 1850s
Excellent. A bit of wear on the base edge. Some light scratches and scuffs. Funnel has some ink stain lower down. Little chip to the ground end as you would expect. Masking tape around the funnel at the moment to prevent chipping, would have originally had cork, leather or something similar. A really wonderful ink bottle. Grade: 8.4 Estimate: $100 - 150
