In Spiral Ribbon: Billin and Wight Adelaide. No base mark. (South Australia) Aerated Water Maugham Applied top. Aqua. 13 oz. 268 mm. 1860s
Fair. Polished. Couple of small outer lip flakes have been slightly ground over. Inner lip nibbled flake and a milky bruise next to this. Annealing marks to inner lip. Some etching remains. Remains of extensive little pit marks throughout. Embossing is a bit rounded. These named ribbon maughams are very interesting, early items. Grade: 5.8 Estimate: $50 - 75
