Plain giant cobalt poison with part label: 40% Formalin, Felton, Grimwade & Duerdins, Melbourne. Base Mark: 90. (Victoria) Poison Cobalt Applied top, tooled finish. Cobalt. 1/2 Gallon. 324 mm. 1920s
Excellent. Bottle still has cork in place, but no contents. Little surface flake to base edge. Tiny impact as well to base edge. 2-8 1/2 has been scratched into the shoulder. A few little impact and some scratches. A bit of grime. The label is stained in the upper and left part which is OK, the remainder of the label has holes and wear throughout, it has been eaten away by possibly the contents. You can still see it is a Melbourne one though, and quite interesting. The bottle itself is great in this half gallon size. Grade: 8.1 Estimate: $30 - 50
