W. S. Stabback / Orange. No makers mark. (New South Wales) Aerated Water Torpedo Applied top. Aqua. 13 oz. 226 mm. 1880s
Very Good. Polished. Deep fold to right rear lip from making. This remains a little dull after the polish. Left mid neck has a 4 mm annealing surface fracture to inner surface only. Small shallow surface bubble near base point. A few scratches to be found, one or two are a tad pitted. Some fine fisheyes and impact marks to be found. Embossing is a tad rounded, but still quite good. We have sold two large Stabback torpedo bottles before, but they both had the writing in one line on each side of the bottle, this variation with both lines on the one side is the first we have sold. Presumably quite a hard one to get? Grade: 7.3 Estimate: $100 - 150
