Pair of glass inkwells with brass caps. One cap has: Patent / (Crown) / London. Ink Glass Clear glass ink wells with brass caps. Both about 50 mm across. 19th century
The left one is Very Good. Some grime. There is a sliver flake to one corner edge. Some nibbles down the corners as well. Brass mount in place with the screw cap that screws onto it. Little flake to base. Usage wear, scratches. An early item. Right hand one is early as well, different cut pattern to shoulder region. Cap is unmarked, just sitting loose on the ink well. Looks to be a polished pontil to the base. Grime, scratches and usage wear. A few little nicks. Grade: N/A Estimate: $10 - 20
