Fair. (5.5). Repaired outer flange over about 40 x 14 mm, there is a section of this that come into the face about 20 x 4 mm near the H of Cherry, this goes over the outer black line but no further. When this was repaired, the entire flange was painted. This has since been removed to reveal what is essentially not a major restoration. The outer rim still shows the edge of the paintwork where it hasn't been scraped off fully. Note that the face has been coated in lacquer to blend the repair in, also note that the repairer added his initials above Carlton, that being D. R. which is not part of the original design. No base. Quite a rare Victorian lid, this is a solid shelf example.. Estimate: $100-150
