Bottle with concave groove along side, British Registration Diamond and No 289.493. (Leamington Spa, United Kingdom). Goldfields. Salad Oil. Unusual registered bottle with concave side that slots a thin bottle into it. Aqua. About 6 oz. 186 mm. 1870s
Very Good. (7.5). Polished. Remains of just a little bit of surface etching under the base and in the grooves in places. A few scratches and minor marks. Embossing is a little flat, maybe the way it was made? Interesting item. This company was in Leamington Spa. There also would have been a small bottle (this does not come with that small bottle) which had flavouring syrup and this one likely would have had a type of aeration powder (probably Bicarbonate?). One would empty it in a water jug and then place the powder in to aerate it.. Estimate: $100-150
