F. H. Faulding & Co / (Six Cherries and Leaves) / Tooth Paste. (South Australia). Pot Lid. Tooth Paste. Round, domed lid. Multi-coloured. 80 mm diameter. 1890s
Very Good. (7.2). Small 3 x 3 mm chip to edge of face below the A of paste. Couple of really small flakes to inner flange underneath and a few small glaze flakes bottom of the flange and its edges as well. A bit of discolouration in places, not noticeable from the front. The gold border is still evident, it does have some wear. Some crazing. The colours have faded in places and worn, being overglaze. Overall, a great example of this rare lid, the most sought after of the cherry variations from Faulding. No base on this one.. Estimate: $1000-1500
