Department Store Cash Carrying System Brass Container.. Miscellaneous. Miscellaneous. Brass and felt cylinder which twists to open and close. 113 mm long. Early 20th century
Very Good. (N/A). Most unusual, this would have been used in a department store in the early days to dispense money and invoices to a central room via either gravity or a vacuum system. The felt is pretty good at each end. Brass outer sheaf has a small split near the opening. Inner tin looking metal would be some sort of alloy, has no signs of corrosion at all. Some discolouration. Some little dints. Some scratches and minor marks. Most unusual item! Estimate: $30-50
