Excellent. (N/A). The licence of The Market Hotel, Rockhampton was transferred from James Harding to Thomas Augustine Lanigan in April 1911. This metal item has Made in England on one end. Both ends flip out to enable access to vestas inside - this is currently empty. There is a striker section down the outer long edge. This striker part has a bit of discolouration and surface corrosion. Minor discoloured spots outside and some fine scratches and marks. Great item, presumably from Lanigans time as a publican, however he was also in politics for a while and an auctioneer too, looks like he tried a bit of everything. Estimate: $100-150
