Mint. (9.9). This is possibly a Pretoria bottle, but ginger beer was sold at military canteens around South Africa. S.A.G.I. refers to the South African Garrison Institutes (1900-1915) which were established as a unified canteen system for the armed forces by Lord Roberts, commander-in-chief of the British forces in South Africa during the Anglo Boer war. A few fine scratches and minor marks, but pretty much as made. Wonderful example, and great item with the military links, we have never sold one before. GB number 380 from E. Lastovica's South African Ginger Beer book Estimate: $50-75
