Good (6). Handle has been broken and is missing. 10 mm impact hairline to front lip. Roughly repaired chip over about 30 mm to the rear lip, looks to come into the upper lip only about 4 mm. Little flake to rear base edge. Some discoloured wear throughout. Some scratches. A great demijohn, this is very rare and in the particularly sought after small quart size. D. Wood was transferred a liquor licence from A. Aitken in 1893. He passed away in 1916. He was a man of influence, in 1903 at the annual district committee meeting of the Bendigo district Manchester Independent Order of Oddfellows, Bro. D. Wood, of Heathcote, was 'elected Deputy Provincial Grand Master by a large majority'. Estimate: $300-400
