Very Good. Extremely rare Melbourne fruit jar. In the back is an 11 mm fine internal fracture about 30 mm back behind the seam line. ?????????????????Coming up from this near the top is a 3 mm long fracture that extends just on the inner surface of the glass for about 30 mm - this is almost impossible to see and would seem to be a manufacturing mark by the look of it. Around the inner part of the ground lip are the usual small flakes and chips. There is an impurity in the glass just below the shoulder at the right front side. There are some small patches of dull stain and some rust around the neck and top from where the bail would have been. Some minor scratches can be found. A truly outstanding rare Australian jar.
