Pitts / Lemonade // 28 Wharf Road / City Road / London. Interesting pattern of 8 raised short ridges around base. Aerated Water Torpedo Long torpedo shape, applied squarish collar top. Aqua. 10 oz. 240 mm. 1860s
Fair. Bottle has been tumbled or acid cleaned but is still heavily etched over the surface of the glass. A couple of surface burst bubbles can also be found. Heavy scratch near the L of Lemonade. Embossing is generally pretty strong. Quite an unusual variation of the Pitts torpedos. Grade: 5.7 Estimate: $40 - 60
