Freemasons / Hotel / Broken Hill. Base mark: A. Aerated Water Codd Applied top, spun finish. Four way or Dobson type. Aqua. 13 oz. 237 mm. 1910s
Very Good. Light haze throughout. The rear lip has a very shallow chip, 5 x 6 mm. Right side lip where it is applied has a couple of impact marks, about 3 x 3 mm. A 3 x 4 mm fisheye to rear just below the neck crimp. Several fisheyes around the base heel, some around the neck and others scattered throughout. Some rust marks, scratches, scuffs and wear, mainly to the rear. Some swirl marks around the front right shoulder appear to be from manufacture. The embossing is heavy, there is a flake chip to the bottom of the F and another smaller one to one of the O's. The rest of the letters all have some wear and impact marks to the high points but are generally very strong and clear. There is a circular, shallow chip to the front base, 4 x 4 mm, but shallow, possibly a burst bubble. This is an extremely rare codd bottle, with a Hotel theme and also a Masonic theme, these are highly sought after. Grade: 7.1 Estimate: $500 - 600
