Goldfields salad oil, sometimes referred to as a Shark Tooth Oil. No base mark, looks like a wide "round pontil". Goldfields Salad Oil Applied top. Ring in neck, with eight panels coming down from this to two further neck rings, then four panels on one side, round on the other side, then another ring, then a series of ten "Shark Tooth" type designs around the curved base area. Very Good. Stained, with some areas of leaching. There are some scratches and minor pit marks, none of these appear to be deeply etched into the glass at all. This is a nice example of a rare bottle that should tumble clean very well. Scarce bottle in this larger size. Grade: 7.4 Estimate: $75 - 100
