Pratt Jar: Mending the Nets. Small size! Household Prattware Multicoloured Meat Paste pot. 94 mm. 1850s
Very Good. We have never seen this odd small size of this jar before. Light scratches to the glaze throughout. Under the base there is a shallow chip, 15 x 13 mm. An impact mark at the base edge has a crack emanating from it going a length of about 25 mm, most of this except for the impact part is just under the base. Another one directly opposite but very similar, but travels over 35 mm and has some flaking under the base associated with it as well as a small part missing at the original impact mark on the side. Some scratches and marks, mainly around the shoulder. Nice bright colours. A most unusual item, all damage is at the base and so the jar looks great on display with only minor evidence of the base cracks and flakes. Grade: 7.1 Estimate: $150 - 200
