G. F. Priddle & Son / Trade (Lighthouse) Mark / Queenscliff. Base: M. Aerated Water Codd Four way or Dobson type. Applied top. Aqua. 10 oz. 235 mm. 1900s
Good. This is a nice solid example of this bottle. There is a shallow 8 x 3 mm chip to the inner side lip. Rest of the bottle is dull and scuffed and scratched over the whole surface. There is an opalescent type haze in th upper region. Embossing is good and solid with a little bit of wear to the surface. A few scattered impact marks and fisheyes can be found over the surface of the bottle. There is a weird fine fracture on the inner surface about 40 mm long. This fracture is not through the full thickness of the glass and seems to be centred on an imperfection in the glass behind the first D of Priddle. It's quite difficult to see and looks like it would have been there since manufacture. Nice example that needs a polish or tumble to show its best. Grade: 6.5 Estimate: $100 - 150
