1: Very Good. Shallow and small flake to upper front lip, another small nibble to rear, irregular scratch to the rear neck. Light scuffs and scratches to the body, mainly to the rear, some fisheyes to be found, the rear base has an impact fracture running along the base edge over 25 mm. Internal haze and stain, mainly in the rear and upper neck, there are a couple of patches of haze externally. The embossing is crisp and clear, a few minor flakes to some of the letters. Nice example of a scarce Schweppes variation. 2: Very Good. Very shallow and difficult to see shallow internal lip fracture over 5 mm. Extremely difficult to see 7 mm fracture on the left front side half way down. Small 3 x 2 mm flake to body on right front side half way down. There is some light scuffs and scratches to be found and some minor haze in patches. Some crude folds from manufacture. The lettering is really good with only minor marks. 3: Very Good. Would grade better, but has a difficult to detect fine bruise over the right seam which is about 15 x 15 mm. Above this behind the seam is a 7 mm fracture. Has been oiled internally, to disguise a very minor haze, with some dirt in the base as well. The glass at the base is about 25 mm thick!! There is a small discoloured bruise to the rear as well and a scratch leading to this. A few other light scuffs and scratches throughout. A crudely made bottle by the Zetland Glass Bottle Works, there are crude swirls and folds in the glass which make this a very attractive piece, especially with the highly detailed and crisp embossing which is blemish free. 4: Good. A couple of minor lip nibbles, one on the upper lip, one on the inner lip. A chip to the face of the bottle near the lion, 8 x 5 mm. Another shallow flake to the face on the left side, 5 x 6 mm. Small discoloured bubble to rear. Some impact type marks around base. There are scuffs and scratches throughout, small fisheyes and some internal haze. Plenty of crude manufacturing lines. 5: Good. There is a tiny nick to the lip. A small rust spot on the right rear and some rust over the letters. This bottle has scuffs and scratches all over. There is a heavy band of wear around the base consisting of tiny flakes and fisheyes. Some very light haze and an internal dirty patch. Some very fine fisheyes. 6: Very Good. Oiled internally and subsequently still slightly hazy. Scuffs and scratches throughout externally. Fiseheyes scattered around. Some scrape type marks to the lettering. Grade: N/A Estimate: $20 - 30
