Bollington / Bollington Hop Beer Co. / Temperance / Brewery, / G. Bollington, Brewer, / 171-179 / Stawell St / Richmond. / Lager Hop Beer. Potters Stamp: The Bendigo Pottery / Epsom / Bendigo / Coy Ltd. Ginger Beer Hop Beer Two tone, tan top, internal thread with black print. 26 oz. 270 mm. 1890s
Very Good. Has glaze wear around most of the inner lip, two chips as well which are about 12 x 5 mm and 14 x 5 mm. These are mostly internal, and so with the stopper in place it is less obvious. The rear base has a horseshoe crack (15 mm on one side, 10 mm on the other) with an associated chip in the lower part right at the base, about 15 mm and up to 10 mm high, but an odd shape, please refer to the pictures for a better appreciation. Some wear around the base edge. Some light wear and discolouration to spots on the body with a couple of small glaze flakes to be found. This is quite a rare bottle, which is unique with the impression on the shoulder and then the ink stamp as well, as well as the internal thread on top of all of that. A great, and imposing bottle, with the chip at the back base and the lip wear mostly hidden by the stopper, this looks rather nice. Grade: 7 Estimate: $300 - 400
