Cobalt Quilted Oil, registered to Kilner in 1850. Base embossed: Registered 30 May 1850, with British Registration Diamond in the middle. Goldfields Salad Oil Applied top, flared lip, four rings in neck, diamond quilted pattern down to three further rings as the bottle tapers out. 12 petalled vertical panels around the bottle down from these rings, flared out bulbous section comes in to a cylindrical base. Near Mint. Stunning design, colour and condition! Couple of light scratches can be found on close inspection. Some bubbles on the surface and some crude folds in the glass from making. The original clear glass stopper has a bruise to the lower part, which is hidden when in place anyway. Amazing piece! Grade: 9.4 Estimate: $2500 - 3000
