Mason's / Patent / Nov 30th / 1858. Base Mark: 1 within an Owen ring. Household Fruit Jar Screw cap, shoulder seal jar. Amethyst. Half Gallon. 221 mm. 1920s
Excellent. 20 x 5 mm, but extremely shallow flake to upper lip, typical of this type of jar. Some nibbles and shallow flakes to inner lip. A tiny bit of grime. A few light scuffs and scratches. Correct fitting metal cap has a split above the top thread over about a quarter of the circumference. Very nice example of this jar, beautiful colour and great condition! Grade: 8.8 Estimate: $30 - 40
