Belfast Aerated / Trade (FAST within a Bell) Mark / Water Company / Sydney. Base Mark: BGW. Aerated Water Codd Applied top. Four way pour, Dobson style patent with four dimples. Aqua. 26 oz. 264 mm. 1890s
Very Good. Polished. Surface is pretty smooth throughout, the seam line is mostly gone on both sides. The embossing is still quite good, although the base mark is hard to read. Still has some pit marks, fisheyes, scuffs and scratches scattered around. 7 mm irregular surface fracture to the rear, probably an annealing mark from manufacture. A couple of discoloured fisheyes in close proximity just behind the right seam line. Lovely swirl of dark green glass near front base curling up the front a bit. Impact flake under base. Looks to have been a minor bit of reworking done under the base to remove a small chip or flake on one side. A very nice looking bottle, this is quite hard to get, particularly this version with the larger bell trade mark. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $550 - 650
