Excellent. Some scratches and tarnishing. Fabulous piece of history which shows how pratt lids were made, in this case by Mayer. These plates were bought by a firm called Kirkham's in the 1890s who used them to reproduce these pot lids. We have an example of a later Kirkham's lid in this auction. The original lids were made for John Cliff Quince of Cheapside, London and contained toilet cream. Grade: 8.8 Estimate: $300 - 400
