Carter's Bristol / Patent Bottle. No base mark. Aerated Water Patent Applied top. Aqua. 10 oz. 228 mm. 1890s
Excellent. Some inner dirt, this will clean out. Little nibbled flake to upper lip. Heavy scratch to rear lower region. Smaller scuff mark to left base edge with a couple of impact type bruises. Some other scratches, a bit of external surface grime. This bottle was found in Tasmania. A quick search finds that J. Boag imported these into Launceston, as did a few other manufacturer's such as W J Marsden. Boag was awarded damages for his purchase of these bottles which were found to be defective, due to the washer failing. The bottles were made by Powell & Rickett's of London. Grade: 8 Estimate: $50 - 75
