Pair of Holloway's Pot Lids: 1. Holloway's Ointment, 533 Oxford Street, London. 2s 9d. 2. Holloway's Ointment, 244 Strand, London. 2s 9d. Pot Lid Ointment Both have black print on white. The Oxford Street example is slightly domed, the Strand example is quite flat. Both about 82 mm diameter. 1870s-1890s
1. Very Good. Has no base. About half of the outer edge rim has wear through the glaze. Otherwise, just some crazing and a scratch or two. 2. Very Good. The earlier version, this comes with a base. Some rust stain to the left upper quadrant. Chip to lower flange at about 10 o'clock. The lid is taped to the base, so we have not looked internally. Base has some rust stain and a chip as well. Looks like it may be the original base as the rust stain seems to cover similar distances. Grade: N/A Estimate: $100 - 150
