Eight sided, pinch waisted body. Eight rounded sides to shoulder. Double ring to neck. Base: Registration Diamond: Embossing suggests a registration date of 3rd May 1850 but on checking the records there is only a registration on the 30th May 1850 for John Kilner (glassmaker of Dewsbury) so perhaps just a mistake on the embossing. Goldfields Salad Oil Registered Design shape. Applied double collar top. Aqua. 10 oz. 293 mm. 1850s
Very Good. Just dull all over and with some light etching. Has had some oil inside. A little bit of stain in the shoulder. A handful of inclusions in the body of the bottle but no fractures or the like around them. A really lovely bottle and quite a scarce Goldfields era variety, especially in this larger size. Grade: 7.4 Estimate: $200 - 300
