Patent bottle with two body rings. No base mark. Aerated Water Patent Patent bottle with two body rings. Aqua. 13 oz. 209 mm. 1880s
Very Good. A few making nicks to lip. 8 x 2 mm bruise to inner lip from tiny impact. Outer lower lip down from this has a 7 x 6 mm flake from another tiny impact mark. The upper neck below this in turn has an impact mark which is about a 7 x 5 mm section of surface flaking, down from this yet again is a scuffed scratch. 11 x 7 mm burst bubble to base edge. Some scuffed scratches above the upper ring which are a little deeper than standard. Some other fine scuffs and scratches to the body with one or two dull spots. Tiny flake to base heel. Tiny flake to mid body. A little inner base grime. A wonderful patent, we are not aware of another example of these with the two body rings. Probably had a Horner Patent cap with an internal marble stopper. Quite possibly an early Melbourne Glassworks item. Grade: 7.4 Estimate: $750 - 1000
