1. Good. Spout comes of to reveal a nice lip. This has no inner glass tube. Possibly oiled internally. Some inner haze as standard with syphons. Typical usage marks, plenty of scuffs, scratches and fisheyes throughout. Small nibbled impact flake amongst the badge. Around the pedestal base there is a lot of wear, there is an impact chip type nibbled flake to the rear, plenty of fisheyes including some large ones, other flakes, scratches and marks from plenty of use over the years. These nine panelled syphons are rarely used in Australia, a nice, early purple syphon which you do not see very often at all. 2. Good. Spout comes off to reveal a nice lip. Oiled internally, there is still some haze. Front shoulder looks to have a scratch, this is actually a lump of glass on the surface. Plenty of scuffs and scratches for this bottle that has obviously been used a fair bit. Along the lower body there is a deeper scratch going around horizontally. There is a large section over about 34 x 15 mm where three consecutive discoloured bruises are at the front near the base on the pedestal part. Some fisheyes to be found. A nice pair of variations. Grade: N/A Estimate: $75 - 100
