Green and Yellow lead glazed Dutch cream pot. Pottery Earthenware Earthenware. Green & Yellow Lead Glaze. Double handle. Pouring spout. 136 mm. Late 1600s
Very Good. Glaze wear on the outside of the handles, on the pouring spout and general nibbles around the spout and rim. Chips all around the pedestal base. A body chip or kiln kiss to the back. A crack down one side of the spout and then underneath it. General usage wear and crazing. Glorious coloured glazes. A wonderful early piece of pottery. (From the Ian Mastin collection whose exceptional still life artwork includes many of these pieces - http://www.ianmastin.com/) Grade: 7 Estimate: $200 - 250
