Nailsea Flask. Base Mark: Pontil. Early Glass Flask Nailsea flask with white patterns. 202 mm. 1840s
Very Good. An early piece, the Nailsea glass factory closed down in the 1870s and so this must predate then. I would say 1840s, but may be earlier? There is a sticker on one side from The British Antique Dealers' Association certifying this piece as over 100 years old, however, this sticker itself would have been in place for several decades! It is partly missing. Near this there is some dark scuffing and stain. Quite a lot of scratches scattered around which are discoloured in places. A fantastic piece of historical glass. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $150 - 200
