Good. Corrosion throughout to the exposed parts at top and base. Spotty corrosion to the sides as well with plenty of wear. Colours are quite faded, although moreso on one side than the other. Some heavy staining in places. Although this appears empty, I had it stored on its side and some black horrible substance has oozed out and down the side which is terribly sticky, a bit like tar! This remains down one corner and along one edge of the base, it will take a bit of work to remove, it certainly did from my shelf! Quite an interesting early Melbourne tin from the James A. Lerk collection. Grade: 6 Estimate: $30 - 40
