Pair of heavy stoneware jars with Tigers Head in a circles surrounded by bamboo or foliage. (Tiger Balm?) Chinese White round stoneware jars. Blue Print. Pint & Half Pint. 108 mm and 138 mm.. 1900s
Small one is Very Good. Tiny nick to upper lip. Flaked glaze to the left mid body is amongst a glaze miss area, but does appear to be after market damage. Short deep scratch to right shoulder. Flake under base heel is likely a potters pull, couple of other smaller under base marks as well. Some scratches and minor marks. Large one is Very Good. Some discolouration, but the dark areas are likely from making as some glaze drips are darker than the rest. There is some rust stain though as well. Some scratches including some rusty discoloured scratches. Flake towards front base near the base edge. Some other scratches and minor marks. A great pair of Chinese jars, possibly ginger jars or maybe even tiger balm? Grade: N/A Estimate: $100 - 150
