Pair of Gold on Blue Prattware Items: 1. (Shakespeare Characters on a Stage) / All the World's a stage / (Winged Hourglass) // (William Shakespeare & Cherubs holding masks) / Shakspeare Born April 23 1564. No base mark. 2. Boar Hunt scene with Men & Dogs. Base: British Registration DIamond for 18th August 1871. Pot Lid Prattware Gold on Blue. Heavy rounded shape and wide mouth pedestal type. 99 & 86 mm. 1860s-1870s
Shakespeare pot is Excellent. 5 x 2 mm chip to the inner lip. Some crazing. A couple of very light scratches. A little impact and a crack/hairline along the base edge of about 25 mm. Lovely detail. The Boar Hunt jar the Very Good. Bit of crazing and some discolouration. 6 x 4 mm chip to the lip and along from this a bruise type impact with surface crack of about 10 mm. Nice item.
