Early Small Size Cotton Reel Stoneware Ink. Ink Stoneware Salt Glaze Cotton Reel Ink. 43 mm. 1860s
Very Good. Glaze wear and flakes around the shoulder all look like kiln kiss type marks from making. The larger one has a small chip amongst it. A few other spots of wear, again, these may well be from making. Not to be confused with the later, larger cotton reel inks, this is a goldfields found piece and is a fair bit smaller. A great, early item. Grade: 7.3 Estimate: $20 - 30
